Tic Tic Boom!

I would love to invite you to read a true event I went through. Even when you are going through a tough moment in life. Laughter can always make you forget about everything and enjoy the moment.

I had to share this crazy experience that happened a few months ago. It seems that my throat muscles are shot, and my NVS now puts a high amount of air into my stomach. This has been going on for a few months since my vent was upgraded. I woke up on Friday with a lot of chest pain on my left side. When this happens, it's time to change my G-Tube

As I was telling my wife what was going on, she started to inspect the tube. She said, "Yeah honey, it's time to replace it." The pain comes from the tube pushing itself out. Here comes the crazy part of my Friday: just before she could finish saying, "I'm going to replace it," my stomach exploded. Yes, my stomach exploded as the G-Tube shot out like a rocket. I wish there was a way to catch it on camera, lol. If my wife wasn't holding the tube, it would have hit my computer.

Within a couple of minutes, my home aid came running into my room. She asked, "What exploded in here?" We both looked at her and started laughing. We explained what happened, and she couldn't believe it. If it hadn't happened to me, I would have had the same reaction. The wild part is she heard the explosion from the bathroom with the door closed. She was two rooms over, about 50 feet away with a closed door. She told us that she jumped off the toilet.

My stomach wasn't hurting from the tube now, but from all the laughing we did. Even in times of darkness, the world can surprise you with something positive.
